There are approximately 70 Practices across Salford and Trafford, serving a population of over 510,000 patients. Commissioned by NHS England GP practices provide General Medical Services to their registered patients. As well as operating as independent businesses, GP practices are now working more closely together, with other primary and community care staff and health and care organisations, providing integrated services to their local populations, within Primary Care Networks (PCNs).
